Map Measurer is a free, browser-based map measuring tool. This page explains, in plain English, what data is involved when you use it and which third parties are part of that. We keep this deliberately short because Map Measurer collects very little.
When you plot points, draw a radius or trace a route, those coordinates exist only in your browser tab. They are not transmitted to us and are gone when you clear the map or close the page.
The "use my location" button asks your browser for your position, and only runs if you grant permission. Your coordinates are used solely to centre the map on your device and are not stored or sent to us.
To function, Map Measurer loads resources from, or sends requests to, the following providers. Each may receive your IP address and the request itself as part of delivering the service, under their own privacy policies:
To keep Map Measurer free, the site may show ads from Google AdSense. When ads are enabled and you accept via the consent banner, Google and its partners may set and read cookies (or similar identifiers) to serve and measure ads, and in some cases personalise them. We store a single value in your browser's local storage to remember your consent choice.
You can manage or withdraw consent by clearing your browser storage for this site. You can review and control how Google uses data for advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads and opt out of personalised advertising at google.com/settings/ads.
Map Measurer is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13.
Because we don't hold an account or a profile about you, there is nothing on our side to export or delete. For data held by the third parties above, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it.
